The 2009 Plastics Design and Moulding Exhibition and Conference—PDM 09—comes
to the Telford International Centre May 19–21. Prospective visitors can
register on-line now for free admission to both the conference programme and the
exhibits at this most comprehensive of UK plastics events.
Called by the organizer, Crain Communications, the must-attend event of 2009
for UK professionals involved in the design and production of plastic products,
PDM is a vibrant source of information, education, and inspiration and also
offers practical advice on how plastics businesses can survive and prosper in
the current economic downturn. It combines an exhibition with free conference
sessions, business clinics, training, and live demonstrations.
The conference programme features three days themed for packaging, medical
devices, and consumer products. The Plastics Consultancy Network will offer free
advice and useful case studies at a business clinic, while PTL workshops will
provide training and practical tips for shop floor staff. In addition, live
demonstrations of moulding machinery will take place throughout the show.
New this year will be the Rotomoulding Pavilion, showcasing the products of
exhibitors in this specialty.
PDM 09 takes place in the UK’s polymer centre, Telford, which has been known
as “Plastics Valley” for more than 20 years and is currently home to over
100 polymer-related companies.
