Cable Tie

Cable tie is a type of fastener, available in different colours and textures is a sort of a snap that is used for the purpose of fastening several assortments of cable or wires together. Cable Tie Usage

Quality of Cable Tie

Plastic cable ties are manufactured by an injection moulding process, in which several individual moulds are grouped together side by side to produce a batch of cable ties in a single stroke of moulding. The appearance of a cable tie is determined by the size and the shape of the mould used in the manufacturing process.

Damaged cable ties are caused due to:

• Filthy mould machine pipe
• Improper pressure control of mould machine
•  Using recycled or mixed nylon plastic
• Poor heat transferring from recycled material

Dust in the mould machine pipe can cause the cable tie to turn out looking dirty if it's white, but would be less obvious in colored cable tie. That's one of the reasons that white cable ties are preferred because they can be seen easily. Of course, the tensile strength is affected as well. A cable tie made using recycled nylon granules can create a rough and not pure white tie, which says buyers who are looking for low price might end up getting cable tie with low quality.

Polyamide 6.6 (Nylon 6.6) - General Purpose, Heat Stabilized, UV Resistant

Polyamide 6.6 features light weight, high strength and a wide temperature range. Polyamide 6.6 is hygroscopic, and therefore, absorbs or releases moisture depending on its environment. Thus, the moisture level of the material will affect tensile strength, stiffness and elongation of the product. Polyamide 6.6 offers the increased flexibility, heat resistance and UV resistance of the high impact material with the added feature of greater resistance to vibration, heat and sunlight for mobile applications.

Heat stabilized Polyamide 6.6 (Nylon 6.6) is used in continuous or extended exposure to high temperatures (up to 250°F). A general-purpose nylon will have a reduction in physical properties and fatigue as a result of high temperatures. Nylon cable ties containing specially formulated heat stabilizers provide additional thermal endurance. Heat stabilized nylons are engineered for continuous exposure to temperatures above 185°F which meet UL standards for electrical applications.
